Americans have an overwhelmingly negative view of Fidel Castro, who
resigned as president of Cuba this week, with two-thirds (66%) saying he
has been bad for Cuba and just 15% saying he has been good; but opinions
in some of the other nine countries surveyed in the hemisphere are more
mixed with pluralities in Canada, Bolivia, Argentina, Brazil and Peru
saying Castro had a positive effect on Cuba.
